Welcome to the Keeran School of Education at Kentucky Christian University
As you visit our pages, we hope that you will sense the dedication and purpose of our faculty, staff, and students. Most teachers were inspired by a mentor or great example of an educator. We want our students to be that kind of teacher. There is rigorous preparation for the changing tasks of education and our students are highly sought after in the communities around us. To accomplish this readiness our students, have extensive practice in teaching, assessment design, and professional development. It is our mission to develop good teachers who have a heart for children and a desire to help every child grow.

Accreditation and Recognition
The Keeran School of Education is accredited by the Kentucky Education Professional Standards Board to offer approved teacher preparation programs.
KSE is a recognized leader in the Northeastern Kentucky areas. The school draws students from many states as well as a number of international students. One of the success stories of KSE is the number of K-12 educators who are still in Education. In a recent survey, 70% responded that they still work in the education field, which is far above the national average. Just in Carter County, 43 graduates work in the school system. Considering the close proximity of Ohio and West Virginia that number would increase dramatically.
